About St. Charles, Illinois
“Pride of the Fox”
DRM European Cafe & Delicatessen calls the wonderful city of St. Charles home. St. Charles is about forty miles west of Chicago right alongside Route 64. The beautiful Fox River runs through the center of our downtown connecting us closely to the other Tri-city towns of Geneva and Batavia.
St. Charles was the location of the Native American Pottawatomie community that inhabited the area many years ago. In 1832, after the Black Hawk War, the entire Fox Valley area opened up for settlement. Our community park district building and surrounding land is dedicated to this Native American past.
With a rich history and natural beauty, its no surprise people come from near and far to visit St. Charles. Our town has so much to offer! Visitors can search the City of St. Charles Municipality, STC Alliance, and the Chamber of Commerce to learn more about our great city, including local businesses, where to eat, where to visit, and local events such as the popular Scarecrow Festival.
St. Charles also calls itself home to the popular Arcada Theater which is always bustling with concert goers and some really amazing events! Across the street from our cafe, browse the local public library, and head a few blocks west to visit the park district where you will find fun parks for the little ones, miniature golf, river cruises and more! Your trip to St. Charles wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Kane County Fairgrounds. This place is a must if you are a treasure hunter searching for the perfect antique or just seeking out the perfect weekend event to attend.
So when you come to visit DRM Cafe, your coming to visit the unique town of St. Charles. We encourage you to #eatlocal, #shoplocal, and #staylocal. Our city has so much to offer, and we are so proud to serve this amazing community!
