What's New at DRM


The school year has started...and that means DRM is getting into the swing of things preparing for our favorite time of the year, the fall. With the cold weather approaching (hopefully later than sooner!), nothing can comfort us more than slow stewed soups like our homemade chicken noodle, sauerkraut, and warm beet to name a few. And there is nothing like a warm lunch prepared that day and served right on the lunch buffet from 11:00-2:00pm Monday through Saturday, with our most popular items such as chicken schnitzel, stuffed cabbage rolls, pierogi, and Polish sausage and sauerkraut. Everything we make is prepared the morning of and is homemade using traditional recipes from various regions around Poland and Germany. Let's not forget, that DRM serves as a great place to pick up some really healthy prepared foods in our refrigerated section, such as carrot, potato, coleslaw, and cucumber salads and more of our delicious soups, stews, and goulash!



Something new at DRM is we recently joined partnership with Greenridge Farm, who is now supplying our gluten free and preservative free meats to serve on our signature sandwiches, and these select meats are also available to slice and take home to prepare your own sandwiches, perfect in the school lunches for the little ones.  Stop by Thursday, August 30th from 12-3 pm to meet a Greenridge representative and taste some of our wonderful samples! We are also currently stocking our shelves,  filling them with the foods you love and other new foods, from Poland, Germany, and other Baltic countries...so stop in and see what's new on our shelves!

If you haven't been to DRM in a while, we hope you come back and visit as many changes to the menu have been added. We recently added a new Cubano sandwich and also a delicious Fig and Brie. Sandwiches can now be ordered in half or whole sizes allowing you to explore the new green salads we are now offering, such as our popular Mediterranean, Chopped, Green, Spinach, and Cesar salad. All of our salad dressings are homemade and the salads are made to order using only the freshest ingredients! 

Many people have come in to see what vegetarian and gluten free options we have available...and we are very proud to say that we have enhanced our menu to accommodate such diets. I myself am gluten free, and my go to meal is the roast beef with everything on it on our fabulous gluten free bread...with jalapeño chips of course! All sandwiches can be made with gluten free bread or turned into a delicious lettuce wrap. For those who would like to come in and enjoy the hot buffet for lunch, call ahead. Chicken soup can be reserved without the noodles and cabbage rolls which are gluten free can be reserved without the tomato sauce. Both are really great gluten free options along with the cold side salads and seasonal vegetables we offer each day!

For those bread lovers, our bread deliveries for the various European style rye breads that we carry is every Tuesday and Thursday/Friday. Please stop in on those days to ensure the freshest product as our bread does not contain any preservatives. Having said that, we recommend it is consumed as soon as possible and refrigerated as soon as possible to extend the freshest quality. 


With school picking back up...keep us in mind for your take home dinners! You can always call ahead Monday through Wednesday to reserve a meal from the lunch buffet for later pick-up...or stop in Thursday, September 6th and Friday, September 7th when we restart our weekday dinners. We begin with German night, a must try!
